Redball Opens Subsidiary in Brazil
Redball, LLC, a leading manufacturer of agricultural sprayers, fertilizer application and strip-till equipment in the U.S., has opened a subsidiary in Brazil.
The subsidiary, Redball Do Brasil Equipamentos Agrícolas Ltda., will focus on providing Redball’s innovative agricultural equipment to growers in Brazil’s new-frontier agricultural area, as well as other important agricultural regions, according to Paulo Abreu, Redball’s commercial director for South America. “Redball’s large high-clearance trailer sprayers, which have tanks up to 2,000 gallons and booms up to 132 feet wide, have proven themselves in the U.S. and now also in applications on farms in Bahia,” says Abreu. “These sprayers will be highly productive on large farms in the new-frontier area, as well as elsewhere in Brazil. Redball’s three-point mounted sprayers, which have booms up to 80 feet wide, will be of special interest to Brazil’s rapidly growing sugar cane industry.”
Initially, Redball will market three high-clearance trailer sprayer models and one mounted sprayer model. The high-clearance trailer sprayers include the Model 690, which has a 2,000-gallon tank and 120- or 132-foot front-folding booms; the Model 580, which has a 1,600-gallon tank and 60, 66, 80, 88 or 90-foot front-folding center-pivot booms; and the Model 570, which has a 850- or 1,200-gallon tank and the same boom configurations as the Model 580. The Model 555 High-Clearance 3-Point Sprayer is available with 60- or 80-foot front-folding center-pivot booms. All models feature a patented rubber-torsion (Henschen) boom suspension system.
The Redball Do Brasil Equipamentos Agrícolas Ltda. headquarters is located in Paulinia, Sao Paulo. The 5,000 square meter facility houses sales and administrative offices, as well as facilities for equipment assembly.
